Professional athletes are under constant pressure to perform and excel, and that pressure is growing all the time. With contests decided in tenths of a second and records shattered every season, the push to achieve is on – run faster, throw farther, jump higher, hit harder. For a pro, the competition is fierce, and the stakes are high.

Today’s Professional Athletes Face Exceptional Challenges
As a marathon runner who understands the grueling physical demands of training and competition, I tell all the athletes in my Sports Nutrition Program – weekend warriors, amateur competitors, and pros – the crucial first step in achieving peak performance is to nourish one’s body with the proper balance of protein, carbohydrates and healthy fats, along with vitamins, minerals, amino acids and other nutrients. For you, the elite professional athlete – for whom any event could be a career-defining moment – the demands are even greater, and the stakes are higher.
I know that not giving your body the proper fuels, you will be unable to perform at your maximum. Up until now, you have likely been given generic advice on what to eat and how to take nutritional supplements.
But has anyone ever told you EXACTLY what you need based on your own laboratory testing?
This is the beauty of my program. I will be able to tell you exactly what food you need to eat and what supplements you need to take and when to achieve optimal performance.
Let me give you some examples of why individual testing matters:
A few months ago I was helping an elite cyclist train. He came to me because he felt he was not training at his peak ability. After talking with him it was clear to me that he had no idea how to eat for HIMSELF and no idea how to boost his performance from the nutritional supplements he was taking.
After going through a series of lab tests we uncovered several potential areas for him.
First, he was eating foods that he should not have been eating–sure, he was eating healthy foods, but they were the WRONG foods for him. We discovered this by way of a food sensitivity blood test (click here for a sample report). By eating the wrong foods, he was slowing himself down–he was making his body spend time cleaning up the bad foods and distracting his body from the goal of turning that food into energy.
Next, he was not getting nearly enough amino acids in his diet. Amino acids are the building blocks of protein and protein is absolutely critical to building and maintaining muscles. And without proper muscle function, there is no way to achieve peak performance. (Click here for a sample report). I was able to recommend SPECIFIC amino acid supplements that he needed to get his muscles in top shape.

After making the changes, I recommended, I am proud to say that this cyclist was performing near Lance Armstrong levels!
Another athlete, a football player, came to see me because over the previous 3 months his performance levels had declined and he was having difficulty recovering after work-outs. He was feeling more tired and fatigued and this had cost him a starting position.
In addition to the above tests, we also discovered a number of nutritional deficiencies we easily corrected once the lab results were complete.
First, we ran an Organic Acid Urine test that revealed many abnormalities in how the patient was utilizing the B-vitamins he was taking. Also he was lacking several key anti-oxidants that were causing him to not make energy on the cellular level. (Click here for a sample report). By knowing exactly which supplements he needed, I was able to recommend a specific supplement plan for patient.
Next, we ran a Fatty Acids blood test to determine if he was incorporating enough healthy fat into his diet. Most athletes do not incorporate sufficient quantities of healthy fat into their diets, and as a result they suffer on the field. By knowing exactly the type of healthy fat he needed, I was able to make some dietary changes for him (Click here for sample report).
After making these changes, this football player was back in the starting line-up making tackles and hitting harder than ever. He was certainly glad that he had these tests run and my advice to get him back to the top.

The Cost of Self-Treatment: One Story, Many Stories
I understand you are striving to reach new heights in your professional career. Sad to say, this wasn’t an isolated incident.
