Craig Koniver, MD opened Primary Plus Organic Medicine, LLC is June 2006. He is a Board Certified Family Medicine Physician who has extensive experience and interest in the field of natural and organic medicine. Dr. Koniver brings his vast medical knowledge and experience with organic medicine into every patient encounter. He enjoys getting to know his patients, and developing relationships with his patients is a top priority.
Dr. Koniver completed his undergraduate degree at Brown University and received his Medical Doctorate from Jefferson Medical College. He completed an Internship in Family Medicine in Newport News, VA before becoming the assistant medical director of a large Urgent Care facility in Yuma, AZ. While in Arizona, Dr. Koniver also served as Medical Director of a Physical Therapy office.
After leaving Arizona, Dr. Koniver moved with his family to Charleston, SC where he completed his Family Medicine residency at the MUSC/ Trident Hospital program.
Dr. Craig Koniver’s inspiration and guidance for health and well-being comes from his wife, Laura Koniver, MD whom he met while in medical school. Dr. Laura Koniver currently homeschools their two children, but plays a vital role in the development of this unique medical practice. Dr. Laura Koniver does not see patients at the office but provides many of the ideas that make this practice such a success.
While both Dr. Koniver’s are conventionally trained physicians, both began their interest in natural and organic medicine after the births of their daughter and son whom they wanted to raise in the most natural way as possible. They carry over this desire for natural health into the medical world and that thinking is what drives this organic medicine practice.
